moved from Ottawa to Calgary close to four years ago at
which time
our son had absolutely no music background whatsoever. He
was forced
to take up the flute as this was the only instrument left
since
he started school in mid term. He was told just to “mouth
the
sound” and pretend to play his instrument during his first
Xmas concert as he had no idea of what he was doing.
Feeling frustrated,
embarrassed and inadequate, we found Jessica. Her patience
and constant
encouragement motivated him not only to excel in the
following spring
concert but to receive the medal of excellence in music in
his high
school band four years later. Though he is now a
university student,
he has unquestionably decided to continue with his music
studies
(he does not need to at this stage) but he thrives on the
ability
of learning new pieces and enjoys Jessica’s classes. Music
is a great outlet for him and Jessica has shown him that
her music
studies are fun and very personable. He can and has chosen
what
pieces of music he prefers to play and he loves the
flexibility
she provides him. Because of his school schedule, Jessica
has been
great accommodating him as he reschedules his lessons with
her.

Both
my kids have taken lessons from Jessica. My son is
starting his
third year with Jessica and he loves going. It is the only
activity
where he does not put up a fight when it is time to go.
Yesterday
he asked “Can I have piano lessons from Jessica every
day?”
And recently he also said “one person who inspires me is
Jessica
because of her talent for music.”Jessica
is reliable and trustworthy. I feel comfortable dropping
George
off at her home and she is always punctual.The
end of the year performance is a wonderful, fun event that
does
not put too much pressure on the kids. I like Jessica’s
firm
but gentle approach and feel like George is getting a nice
balance
of support and encouragement. We will continue with
lessons for
